Hi Beautiful Ones, I just woke up, looked outside and there is white snow all over everything. That makes 11/13 is the first snowfall in MN for 2010. Snow sure is beautiful, but it does make everything a little more challenging & not to mention cold.
Have any of you heard of Senna Cosmetics?? I was sent some product for Fall 2010 and was struck first off by this stunning Fall/Winter visual they sent.
This visual pretty much makes me want to wear beautiful makeup.
I knew about Senna cosmetics because several years ago when I was doing some modeling in the Twin Cities one of the clients I modeled for was Senna. I was about 17 or 18. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the photos from those shoots. I wish I did!!!!
Another thing I noticed aside from the beautiful visual for fall/winter '10, was their very helpful & informative website. Here is the site link: http://www.sennacosmetics.com/catalog/. Senna Cosmetics has a full line of makeup. They have lip products, face, eyes, brows, brushes, even a line of mineral makeup. Also, the founder of Senna cosmetics and makeup artist EUGENIA WESTON has added a PRO TIPS page with her tricks on the website: http://www.sennacosmetics.com/catalog/cms.php?page_id=25.
I have to say, if Senna packaging had to receive a letter grade, it would get an A. I love gold. I love how gold things make things look more grand and classy. The Senna packaging is gold frosted and it's simple which I think makes it look very elegant. Below is a slide show of the products, up close and far away so you can see what the packaging and products I have look like. (I think a picture of my bear cat snuck in there...oops. ) Enjoy! :)
I hope you liked flipping through those images. As you can see, the packaging is all gold. I will say this again, I LOVE GOLD.
The eye colors come in matte shades, mineral, metallic and sheer glow. I received a sampling of all except mineral. They have amazing color pay off and are very pretty and simple. None that I was sent were super glittery or glitzy.. all the colors just have beautiful color pay off and were tones I would wear any day and time. The only thing that would make these better is if they sold them to come in a palette form, so that you could create your own palette and not just have a bunch of individual colors.
The lip lacquers were beautiful in the packaging as far as colors go, but they come with a doe foot applicator, which as some of you may know is not my favorite. I like a lip wand. Also these colors you can tell are made to last. I could be sure that when I put this on, it would be on my lips for several hours. That must be why it is called a lacquer , not a gloss. The one color that really caught my eye is called LUSH. It is a new shade for fall 2010 and it is a beautiful rich berry with gold flecks. //
Last but definitely not least the Blush/Bronze Duo is up there with my shadows as one of my favorite products from the line. The one I tried was in Beached Peach. Split right down the middle with a bronzer on one side and blush on the other, these have amazing color pay off. You don't need a lot on your brush. The compact has a mirror in it for "on the go" application. The only negative thing I will say about this product is it retails for $35. It's unfortunate because I think for many, that doesn't fit their price point for a compact with half blush , half bronzer.
I recommend going to the Senna Cosmetics website, even just to take a look through the products and read the pro-tips page. Right now, there is Free Shipping on any online purchase of $50 or more. I think this is just for the U.S...but I could be wrong. Here is their link again. http://www.sennacosmetics.com/catalog/
FTC: I received these products on a review consideration basis. I was not paid for the review and my thoughts are 100 % honest...as always.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!! If you're in MN, enjoy the first snowfall.
