Beauty Favorites from 2011

Hey Guys! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! WELCOME 2012!!! This blog is SO hard for me. I want to share with you all some of the things I absolutely LOVED from 2011 but it is SO hard to narrow things down, and I really hope I don't forget anything super important.

What I am going to literally just sit down, and whatever pops into my head that I know is absolutely one of my favorite "beauty" related product from the last year...I will tell you about. So, here it goes:

  1.  Zuca Pro Artist Bag. I use this whenever I do a professional makeup job. I LOVE THIS!! It's so useful and compact. I HIGHLY recommend this bag to any makeup artist or beauty professionals, it is absolutely worth it!
  2. Directors Chair for makeup. I got this chair for Christmas from my brother and sister in law and absolutely love it. This is going to be so useful. I think this is from amazon.PROFESSIONAL Tall Folding Directors Chair with Side Table, Cup Holder, Carry Handles, Side Storage Bag!
  3. The Tria Laser. Need I say more? An at home laser hair removal system that is easy to use and painless. The most you will feel is a sensation like a rubber band snapping on your skin. But,there are 5 levels you can choose. I have not written a full review yet because I am not done with my test. However,so far this has been awesome!
  4. BB CREAMS. I love this multi-use face product. It is truely my favorite type of foundation like product to wear at the moment.
  5. SIGMA Brushes. I can't narrow down my favorite brush sets. But, these brushes are definitely one of my favorites because they're great quality and affordable.
  6. BECCA Cosmetics. I love this brand. It's new, the packaging is beautiful...and I'm loving their lip products and bronzer!
  7. Eyelash Extensions.I LOVE MINE & I LOVE APPLYING THEM. My new website will be up soon. And my Lovelo Beauty Facebook page: and my blog:

BEST of Beauty November: Le Angelique, WonderBar & Spongeables

Hey Everyone! I'm back to share more November favorites with you all. I had such a rough morning. We just moved into a new place and one of our cars was broken into, broke the window and front console. To top it off it is like 10 degrees Fahrenheit and scheduled to snow. So to put it mildly, this post may be a bit scatterbrained. I'm sorry.

1st things 1st. My winner of GoNails has not contacted me yet, and I really want you to get your product!!

Donna was my winner who commented on my GO nails post. I do not have your e-mail Donna, so please contact me with your info. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow at 1 pm central time, I'm going to have to pick another winner at random. So, please e-mail me! :)

Three things I have been loving this month. The first is:

Le Angelique hair extensions. These are 100 % natural human hair, with easy to clip in strips that can enhance the length, thickness or style of your current hairstyle. Each set contains h 7 Clip ins which are 18 Inch Long. You can get them in a variety of colors and you treat them like you would your OWN hair. Wash, dry, brush and curl.

My hair has always been naturally very straight and thin. When I put these in, I love the volume I can create and the thicker texture I get. I will be doing a full review on these extensions and talking more in detail. But, they are SO fun, and such a great product. They feel JUST like my hair and I had to tell you guys about them. Le Angelique sells other beauty tools and products. Go check out their website:

Next thing I've been loving is the WONDERBAR. I'm kinda impressed by this thing. It's been making my skin feel so good. It's an ALL IN ONE skin care bar that helps heal and detoxify skin. It's a PH balanced beauty treatment disguised as a bar of soap. This helps oily skin be less oily and dry skin be less dry. So really, it is for someone of any skin type. It is NOT SOAP, it's made of  Chlorey’nahre and Heilmoor clay of Austria. ???

I will show you a picture of this and you will NOT believe this little bar does all that! The website is super adorable too and has all the information you'll need. Check that out here:

This would make an awesome stocking stuffer or gift if you get the large size!!

Another great stocking stuffer are Spongeables. These sponges massage, cleanse and moisturize all in one. No need to add shower gel or soap. All you do is get them wet and use. I LOVE having these in my shower. They smell great and are inexpensive! Find them at Wal-Mart, CVS, Rite-Aid, and CVS. Check out the website here:

Has anyone seen the preview for Black Swan? I want to see that movie asap! Let me know, did you see it tonight??

Best of Beauty for November: Sigmax Brush Line & Sultra "Bombshell"

Hey Beautiful Readers, I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I have so many "best of" products from November that I feel like I must break up my posts a little bit in order to share everything with all of you.

Here's my plan; I am going to be doing a couple, "Best of Beauty for November" blogs this week. Each will include 2 or 3 things that I have been using all the time, recently discovered or just really loving from the month of November. So each post will be reviews on a couple of amazing products! Also, these are all going to be things that I think would make GREAT CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY  gifts or stocking stuffers! Let's get started.....

If you don't know already, I am a HUGE fan of SIGMA. Sigma is a beauty brand based out of Minneapolis that has an AMAZING line of brushes at affordable prices. They also have various cosmetic bags, mirrors and other little things. Naturally,  since they are based on of Minneapolis, I LOVE them. And, I want to keep you guys all updated on their fabulous products and recent launches.

Recently they came out with  SigMAX brushes. They were designed to give a flawless buffing effect which results in a High Definition makeup look. There are 3 of these brushes. A flat top , rounded top and slanted top. These brushes are quality, quality, quality. They are so tightly packed, and cashmere SOFT. The other amazing thing is that you can get all 3 off these brushes together for $42!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are seriously an amazing deal for quality brushes.

I've been using these brushes almost everyday. The flat top brush is wonderful for buffing in liquid foundation! If you are looking for a  gift for the "girl who already has it all", I'm sure she'd love these brushes. You can never have enough makeup brushes. Right???

And, you can't beat $42 for the three brushes you're getting here. For more information and to see these brushes closer up go to :

Another tool I love that would make wonderful holiday gift is the Sultra "Bombshell". The Bombshell is a 1" curling iron. You can create waves or curls you want with NO crease lines because this has no regular curling iron clamp. It consists of a smooth rod barrel that uses ceramic technology. A heat resistant pad for your counter top and safety gloves are included with the bombshell. Take a look at the Sultra website:

The "Bombshell" curling Iron was featured in the November 2010 Instyle Magazine that had Rachel McAdams on the cover!

Stay tuned in for tomorrow's post I have to talk about a moisturizer I love, and some hair extensions!

Any questions about these products I showed today or anything else, leave in the comment section below!

FTC Man: These are 100 % honest reviews. I was sent these products on a try for possible review basis but I am not being paid.

Thanks for reading guys!!

My "Best of Beauty" for October

Hi Everyone! I can't believe November is already here. The holiday festivities are about to begin and this is by far my favorite time of year. I have a new name for my favorites of the month. I will call them my "best of beauty" for _____ month. So, each month you can expect me to put my favorites.

Best of beauty will include make-up, skin care, hair products, beauty tools...anything that can be beauty related. These are MY opinions.  It is always so hard to choose but I will base it off of what I've tested and tried and love.

So, let's put October behind us and take a look at the products I've been loving!!

ManeTamer by T3. This hair straightener works fast , heats up fast , and get's my hair super smooth in seconds. To see my full review on this go to my T3 Review: Find the T3 products at their website:

Mark Anthony Style Straight Iron Shine. This shine spray protects my hair from heat and leaves it shiny and straight. I have been spraying this on my dry hair before I straighten to give it long-lasting shine. I have not done a full review on this product and plan on it in the future. Find this product on the Marc Anthony hair care website:

Mark Anthony Style Straight Iron Shine

Environ AVST 1 Moisturizer. I have been using this moisturizer every day before I apply my makeup. It contains a low-level of vitamin A and powerful antioxidants to combat free radicals, repair and rejuvenate skin. This is different from the AVST moisturizer I have talked about before in my august favorites. Here is a link to that review. Here's where you can find this product:

LuMesh Lipgloss. I've been addicted to these glosses since I started using them. They are creamy, moisturizing, plumping, vitamin infused, give good color and have a  mirror for application on the back . Check out these glosses at :

SigMAX kabuki brushes. Sigma has introduced two new brushes, a round top, slanted top kabuki. They already had a flat top kabuki and just added 2 more to the mix. These brushes are Amazing. They are soft, and well made. Great for getting makeup to look flawless and airbrushed. Here is the link where you can find these brushes!

100 % Pure Coffee Bean caffeine Eye Cream. If you guys don't know already...I am in love with this company. The 100 % pure products have been amongst my favorites of everything I have tried in the last few months. Their Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream is wonderful. I use it every morning as it helps make my eyes look and feel more awake! Here is the link to their website: They have the most delicious scented products and adorable packaging.

SOHO Beauty Cases. Love these cases for travel and storing makeup and products. The best part is, they're affordable!! You can find them at TARGET! Take a look on their website here:

Whew!!!!! Did you think it would never end? I had a lot of "best of's"  this month, and probably even more I could name. One more thing I don't want to forget is my cat BEAR. He is , of course, a "best of" my life. :)

Bear cat :)

Disclaimer: Some of these products were sent to me for possible review. This "BEST OF" is honest and my personal opinions. I was not paid for this review.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Send me your beauty question requests!!!! I love hearing from all of you. And, thank you , thank you to my wonderful subscribers. You guys are the LOVE YOU.

Spongeables, Moroccanoil & 100 % Pure...

Hey Guys! Happy Saturday. I'm working today but I wanted to get a quick post up for you all. There are three things that I have to rave about this morning because I've been using them for the past couple weeks.

The first are Spongeables.  I have this one called the pedi-scrub foot buffer. I use it EVERY day on my feet. It's perfect because you don't have to add soap...and it's good for 20 uses (I think it get's much more than that though...). It cleanses, moisturizes, massages, and exfoliates your feet. It's a great shape for getting in between toes and the two sides are very useful. One for buffing one for cleansing. I think this is such a useful product. They cost about $7.50 a piece and you can get them at Rite Aid, Ulta, CVS and Wal-mart (select stores).

They have other ones for hands, body etc. Check them out on their site.

The other product that I have to rave about today is the Moroccanoil for hair. It is an oil treatment that you massage through your ends while your hair is wet. My hair has been SO DRY lately and when I use this on the ends of my hair I feel like it's repairing my split ends. Plus, it leaves my hair very silky and shiny. :) I love this product and have to put it on every time after I shower. I'm not sure on the price on this but you can read more about it on the website:

Last but not least, the other product I want to RAVE about is 100 % Pure's green apple nourishing body cream. It smells like a dream. Well, my dream. I LOVE the smell of green apple. Green apple candles, spray, fragrance, lotion, body wash...give me it all. This lotion smells so strong of green apple and feels soft and luxurious on my skin. I love this stuff. I also love that this company uses 100 % natural ingredients. Check it out at the website:

This is what the tube looks like...I couldn't find a picture of green apple...but you get the picture.

I recommend all of these products for Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers. They are Fantastic!!!

Love you guys,

Gotta mention some favorites... (September)

September FLEW by!  It's already October 5th and I have some beauty items to share with all of you! Here are some of the things I've been loving over the past month...

MAC Longwear Lipcreme in Till Tomorrow:

The color is amazing and looks great on! It's a great mauvy/purplish color but looks a little different on everyone's skin tone. I like it because it gives my lips just enough color without looking overdone. Plus-it stays on for a really long time.  You can find this at

The T3: Featherweight Luxe Hair Dryer & The ManeTamer Hair Straightener

These two products from T3 are so fabulous that when I got them  I gave my old hair dryer and straightener away! They are sleek, stylish, and work better than any hair dryer or straightener I have ever owned.  I will have a full review on them in the upcoming weeks , but they are favorites for September because they are new and I've been using them non-stop. You can find them at:

Bath and Body Works Dark Kiss Eau De Toilette.

I am usually not crazy about Bath and Body Work Products but, I was sent the DARK KISS scent which  is new  for Fall. It is so sweet and sugary smelling and I LOVE it. It reminds me of Aquolina's pink sugar. You can find this at

GoldWell DualSenses Rich Repair 60 Sec. Treatment.

This rich repair conditioner is just what my hair has been needing. I got this a few months ago and it is already gone! I used it so much because the ends of my hair were so dry. This leaves your hair feeling really silky and soft in as little as 60 seconds. Here is the Goldwell website for more information :

CND's Desert Suade nail polish.

I love this color this fall. It's so pretty and natural on my nails. Here is the CND website where you can find this nail polish amongst many other colors:

That's all for this month. There are so many things I like but these are things I'm really using a lot and LOVING.

Disclaimer: Some of these products were sent to me on a review consideration basis and some I bought. I was not paid for this blog and these are all my honest opinions!

Thanks for reading you guys!

My Favorite Products from August!

Hey Everyone!   I wanted to let you in on quite a few of my favorite products from the month of August. I have been trying a lot of new things so a lot of these products are NEW favorites. These are things that have really stood out to me over the last month. Some of them, I have already done a review on or mentioned in my "Minneapolis Beauty Examiner"column. Others, I have not done a review on but I will probably bring up and review in the future.

I will do another blog sometime and write " what's in my beauty box." That one will be all about what's in my makeup box that I use every day. That will also include some of my favorites.

I have a lot to talk about so let's get started.

This skin spray is the perfect hydrating mist. I love to spray it on right after I wash my face because it makes my face feel cool and calmed and hydrated. It's like the perfect "drink for the face". I have already used way too much, and I'm down half the bottle  because I really like it.   Here is the SKIN BY MONICA website!

A lip favorite is these Bare Essentials "Buxom" Glosses. These are sheer glosses that work as a lip plumper. I especially love the shade called "Dani," which is the pink on the far right. These are one of the first lip plumpers that feel like they make my lips look full without hurting them. I love them! I have gotten so many compliments and people asking what it is. They stay on for a REALLY long time also. Here is the Bare Essentials website where you can take a peek at these glosses!

In the facial "moisturizer" category this Environ AVST Gel Moisturizer is my favorite this month. I am actually keeping this is my makeup box of the products I use everyday. I have been putting it on everyday before my foundation and it is so lightweight. I like that it is a gel and it's really hydrating and light. It's NOT sticky at all and it feels like it just melts into my skin. Often times with moisturizers , my skin gets red. This AVST gel moisturizer feels like it is helping irritation. It makes my skin feel amazing! Here is the Environ Skincare link: . Here you can check out the AVST skincare line and the moisturizing gel!

For lip moisturizers The Sara Happ, "Lip Slip" and "Lip Balm" have really caught my attention this month. Aside from the adorable boxes and bows these products come in , they are a luxury lip item. I use the peppermint lip scrub first to soften my lips and buff dry skin. Then, I apply the "Lip Slip" It's a clear balm that is sooooo moisturizing, long-lasting and feels amazing. This is an EXCELLENT gift as well! Here is the Sara Happ Website:

I cannot say enough good things about this AFA Cream Cleanser. It is my favorite new facewash....And, I'm almost out :( It removes makeup so easily and feels so gentle and hydrating when you wash your face. It doesn't have any strong smell and leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized, not dry or dehydrated. I LOVE THIS FACEWASH. I will have to get more. Here is the website:

This month I tried Deborah Lippmann nail polish and remover called "the stripper". I have the biggest problem nails ever and this nail polish remover saved me. It is not harsh, smells like lavender and has an easy pump on the top to dispense remover. It get's my nail polish off fast and easy. I would highly recommend this! I also LOVED the nail polish but I will have a post on those later. Here is the Deborah Lippmann website:

OMG! This is definitely one of my new favorite mascara's. I thought with a name like LashGASM I wouldn't like it. haha..but seriously Too Faced got this right! From the first time I put this on it made my lashes longer than I had ever seen them before. It has a harder plastic or silicone like brush but it REALLY separates and lengthens. I will be using this till the last drop. Here is the TOO FACED website:

This SIGMA TRAVEL BRUSH SET is my August brush favorite. This is the most complete perfect little brush's so cute and the brushes are really great quality!!  This little travel set is perfect for on the go or weekend trips away. You can win this now on my SIGMA BRUSH GIVEAWAY POST!! Here's the link: Contest ends tomorrow. Here is the SIGMA website where you can find their brushes and accessories to purchase! :

And, last but NOT least. My Baby Quasar! This is a light therapy machine that you use on your face. I have been using it for the past 2 weeks and I already notice that it helps clear up acne, is improves my skin texture making it feel soft and it's diminished any red pigmentation I have in my cheeks. I will do a FULL review of this product so you can learn all about it , but it is definitely one of my August Favorites!!! Here is the Baby Quasar website:  Learn about it! This tool is amazing!!

Disclaimer: Some of these products were sent to me for consideration/review...some were purchased by me. I was not paid to write this article , these are my honest opinions and thoughts about every product.

Ok, so...whew, that was a lot of favorites! I hope you stayed with me. Dont' forget about my giveaway, it ends tomorrow! Sigma brushes and mirrors.
