Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry Hair

Hey Guys!! The winter has taken a toll on my hair. The last couple months, it has felt super dry. So, for the last couple weeks I have been on the hunt for shampoo and conditioner that could revive my hair and bring it back to its silky smooth days… :)

I have two sets of shampoo and conditioner, both are my current favorites because they have left my hair softer, silkier and more manageable.

The first is Philip Kingsley’s Moisture Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner. This stuff is serious business. I can tell almost immediately that it is helping to mend my split ends and dry strands. The conditioner makes my hair immediately silky. I leave the conditioner on for an extra 5 minutes or so to make my hair super soft. Both shampoo and conditioner are in the $20 range.

photo from philipkingsley.com

The other brand is John Frieda’s new Root Awakening Purify and Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner. This shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and make my scalp and hair feel hydrated, refreshed, clean and silky. I am super picky when it comes to my conditioner. And,  usually I don’t like a shampoo unless the conditioner that goes with it is amazing. This duo is fantastic, and I would definitely buy this again at my local Target.  Here’s what the John Frieda website says about this product,

  • “Invigorates and feeds from root to tip with a fresh tingle for bouncy, shiny, radiant hair that’s noticeably more resilient with every use.
  • With natural Eucalyptus and peppermint oil, this formula stimulates the scalp with a cool, tingling sensation. Massaging your scalp encourages circulation, which will wake-up healthier-looking new growth.
  • Gently cleans without stripping.”

Hope this helps if you are also looking for a really good moisture rich shampoo and conditioning duo. Thanks for reading!!

Who’s watching the Oscar’s tonight?!?? I can’t wait. I will definitely be reporting on the beauty and style I see on the red carpet.

Tangerine Lips for 2012

Hey Guys! I love playing around with lip colors!  I tend to lean more towards medium to hot pink colors. They have always just been my personal favorite to wear. But, I think this spring and summer tangerine lips are where it's at! :)

The new PANTONE 2012 color of the year was named and it is: Tangerine Tango!

This means, bust out your best orange lip shade and rock it. There are ALL different shades of orange so I'm sure you can find one that you feel comfortable in. Maybe even a peachy orange gloss? Or, a red orange lipstick.

If you don't want to do tangerine lips do your nails or accessories in this awesome color!!!

Sigma Mrs. Bunny Travel Brush Kit- Vegan Brushes

Hey Everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. The other day I posted about Kim Kardashian's Makeup Artist Mario Dedivanovic and his favorite Sigma Brushes. If you missed it, you can still take a look at the post I did here.

Today I want to tell you guys about one of my favorite brush sets from Sigma. They recently came out with a set of travel brushes called the Mrs. Bunny set. The difference with these brushes compared to Sigma's other travel kits is that they are Vegan meaning they do not use real animal hair.

The Brushes in this kit are the:

Pencil - E30 Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, upper and lower lash line.

Tapered Blending - E40 Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease.

Eye Shading - E55 Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments.

Small Angle - E65 Essential for the application of gel or cream eye liner on the upper and lower lash line.

Large Powder - F30 Very dense with a rounded top. Ideal to apply powder products on face and body.

Large Angled Contour - F40 The angled shape makes this brush ideal to apply blush or contour shades.

Foundation - F60 Can be used to apply liquid or cream foundation. Recommended to apply moisturizers and conceal large areas.

What I love about these brushes is that they have the Sigmax HD fibers meaning that they guarantee a more precise application. These brushes are very precise and I feel like the make-up doesn't get lost down inside the bristles.

I also love the brushes in this kit, it is everything I would need going overnight or taking a weekend away. The light blue and baby pink is an adorable combination.

You can check out more Sigma deals at: http://www.sigmabeauty.com/?Click=202

Have a great day!!

Lip Love- Succulent Lip Twins by Pixi

Hey Beautiful People,  I just want to tell you all how wonderful and amazing and beautiful you are...don't let anyone tell you differently. It's been about a year now that I've been writing this blog almost strictly about beauty. I'm so thankful to everyone who has stuck around and who continues to read!

I have a new lip product love!!!!! They are the Succulent Lip Twins by Petra Strand's line Pixi. I am excited about these because they are so rich in color and you all know how hot bright lips are this summer! You hardly need any of the color to really get bright bold lips. My favorite shade of the 4 they come in is the pink peony. The poppy Red is also a very pretty red lip!

The round top is a lip and cheek tint and the squeezy tube is a lip balm. You can wear each alone or together for lasting color. I have never tried the OCC Lip Tar's but I would assume these are somewhat similar. Except, the lip tars are more pigmented...so I've heard.

I think they are definitely worth $18, because a little goes a long way!  They are not sticky or gooey, and they feel great on your lips. You can find these at TARGET stores!!! And, here is the link to the pixi page for more info http://www.pixibeauty.com/product.aspx?productMasterID=828

Great Finds in June -Hands and Nails

Hi Beautiful Friends ! I appreciate all of your subscriptions and entries in my latest giveaway for Breda Watches! I will draw a winner in about a week and I'm very excited for one of you to win. Here is the link if you have not yet entered! http://lovelo.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/trendy-affordable-breda-watch-giveaway/

I want to share with you guys some of my great finds for keeping your nails and hands looking more beautiful. These discoveries will most likely be in my collection for a long time.

Garden Botanika Skin Renewing Hand Treatment with AHA complex. This is a silky smooth hand lotion that really helps "repair" my dry hands. I actually keep this in my car to use every time I'm driving or going to and from work. I do this because then I know I will use it and I'm adding moisture to my hands and nails. This hand treatment has a very sweet citrus scent and leaves my hands feeling soft!  I also use this to rub into my cuticles for healthier nails!

Orly PolishSheild and Orly Flash Dry. Both of these contribute to shiny longer lasting polish! The Polish shield is a 3 in 1 topcoat that helps protect, prevent chipping, and add shine to polish. It is a quick drying formula and helps with color fading.

The orly flash dry comes in a dropper bottle. This product helps accelerate recently polished nails. You just apply one or two drops over your polished nails to help it dry faster and keep the color locked in. This REALLY works. It speeds up drying time!!

I also picked up a nail color, that may not be so "summer-ish" but it's a beautiful color. It's OPI's Jade is the new black. I LOVE this color.

Have a great night everyone!

Lush: Hottie Massage Bar and Daddy-O Violet Shampoo Review

Hey Guys! First things first... today is my sister's birthday!! Happy Birthday Jess! Love you bunches and bunches.

I have written about a couple of Lush products before. Lush is the fresh handmade cosmetics line that is known for the bath products! To date, my favorite product I have tried from lush is the Ocean Salt face polish scrub. I have a blog post about it here: http://lovelo.wordpress.com/2010/07/16/lush-fresh-handmade-cosmetics/

I recently tried the Hottie Massage Bar. It definitely has a great shape for a massage ...the little bumps within it prove that. Here is a photo:

This bar is infused with black pepper, vanilla and ginger. It smells absolutely delicious. I was very excited about using this but have to say that the bar doesn't last very long. The bumps were used up within about 3 uses which left me with just a flat massage bar. Also, the bar leaves a somewhat sticky greasy feeling on the skin. I think it is supposed to leave a hydrated almost "lotioned up" feeling on your skin which it does. My skin didn't feel dry after using this but it felt a little sticky. I didn't like that.

The positives of this bar are its delicious smell and the cute design which massages your skin in the first couple uses. But, the sticky feeling and how long it lasted were not positives in my opinion.

The other product I recently tried was the Daddy-O violet shampoo. I love violet shampoos for keeping my hair bright and vibrant. This did not disappoint.

I love the packaging, name and smell of this!! The first thing that was very apparent was the rich lather that you get with it and the absolutely amazing violet smell. I wish all of my shampoos smelled this good. I absolutely LOVE the smell of violet.

There is lemon and lime juice in this product which help add a glossy shine to the hair. This product is for someone with grey or blonde hair and want a brighter color!

The only downside to the Daddy-O shampoo is the price. It is $27.95 for a 16.9 fl oz. But, this is really a great product. And, I really enjoyed the way it left a nice scent to my hair even after blowdrying.

I would recommend the hair products, bath bombs, face scrubs from Lush based off of my experience with them so far. http://www.lushusa.com/shop  It looks like they have some really cute things out for Easter!!

Have any of you tried Lush? What's your favorite product? I'd love to get some recommendations!!

Spice up Spring: 10 Quick Trends for Spring 2011

Hey Guys! Happy April! I didn't play any April fools jokes today and this series of trends I'm about to share is certainly not a joke. So believe me... these 10 trends are a fun way to spice up your spring!

1. Bright Bold Nails. The brighter the better, the bolder the better. It's not about nude, don't go for plain, try a fun color like purple or green!

2.Get Gutsy with Green. Green shades for eyes are very in for spring, try something new!

3. Add a Cool Clip! Cool hair accessories are fun for spring. Add a feather, or a geometric shape. Your hair needs accessories too. ;)

4.  Updo with a twist or knot. For a simple hairstyle in the morning, twist your hair into a cute knot!

5.Don't Fight the Frizz. This season the more frizz the better. Let your hair go wild and boost the volume with a "do" that is big and bold!

6.Bust out a Braid. Braids are so pretty. And, they're in!! Try putting your hair in a loose side braid for a low maintenance look, or you can put a few small braids in the front.

7. Modify Those Glossy Lips with Matte. I think Matte lips make a woman feel powerful; it's a more sophisticated look . If you don't have any matte colors, take a current lipstick you own and dust it with a loose translucent powder.

8. Glam up with Glitter. Add some sparkle to your life by adding glitter to your eyes. Pop some glitter on your lids or try a glitter liner. Try anything that will shine when you blink! ;)

9. Colored Liner Instead of Black. Try a bold yellow or orange liner instead of the usual black or brown liner this spring. After all, this season is all about color!

10. Slick Sleek Shiny Hair.  Think 80's. Grab some gel, slick back those wispy pieces and pull your hair into a ponytail or bun.

Hope you all have an AWESOME April!! I can't wait to do some of the reviews I have coming up. If you have any requests for me this month e-mail me at leolucky777@yahoo.com

And, if you enjoyed reading this and want to get my posts to your inbox subscribe at the top right of my blog page! :)

Bright Lip Trend for Spring 2011

Hi! Many people ask me... what's the "trend" for lips right now? What is popular for spring 2011? My answer, bright bold lips! Not only do I see this trend in all the celebrity photos, magazines, runway and tv but I think this trend is so fun for spring. We are just getting out of a season full of dark colors , so adding bright bold splashes of color on your lips is a welcomed new trend!

Shades of bright fuchsia, orangey red, hot pinks, light lavender, corals and bubblegum pinks; they're all part of this seasons hot colors. Here are some inspirational photos I found.

Don't you love these bright pops of color?! I do...

Have a great weekend!!

Top 2 Deep Conditioner Discoveries of 2010

Hey Wonderful Subscribers and New Readers!! Hope you all had a great weekend. In September of 2010 , I remember asking a friend if she knew of any really good deep conditioners. I needed not only moisture for my hair but I needed to be using a deep conditioner regularly to help REPAIR my dry and damaged hair.

I have very long, colored hair and if you are like me...you should be using a deep conditioner to help keep your hair, shiny and healthy. Many can benefit from a deep conditioner , not just those with hair like mine. I tried and tested over 8 different deep conditioners in the last 5 months and so far, these are my top 2 deep conditioner discoveries!

OJON Revitalizing 2-minute Hair Mask

I fell in love the first time I smelled this mask and experienced the way it made my hair feel in the shower. Just a little on my hair detangled it within 2 minutes and made it feel soft and smooth. It recommends that you leave it on for 2 minutes, but I would leave mine on for more like 7 or 8 minutes.

Enriched with 9 exotic oils and butters (Murumuru Butter, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Babassu Seed Oil, Passion Flower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sesame Oil, Avocado Oil) . No wonder this smells so good!!!

Go to : http://www.ojon.com/products/N07A-01-0001 for more information!!

The other deep conditioner I've been loving is the Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Mask.

This deep repair mask combines Macadamia & Argan oils with Tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extract. It smells delicious, it's very thick and rich and detangles hair in minutes. It leaves my hair shiny and silky! I also LOVE the packaging that this mask comes in. The tub with bright green is very cute! For more information you can go to : http://www.macadamiahair.com/products/view/deep_repair_masque/

For all of you new readers , I am offering a free mention on my website , or link to your blog, twitter, you tube or Facebook if you subscribe to this beauty blog.

Top 3 Lip Product Discoveries of 2010

Hi!!! What's one of the first things you notice about people? Besides eyes,  hair color, and well...overall stature, LIPS! Lips make an impression right? I mean, if you see someone who looks very attractive from far away but notice they have dry cracked lips, it's a turn off right?

I was thinking about some lip products that were brand new discoveries of mine over 2010. Here are some of my favorites:

SARA HAPP peppermint Lip Scrub & Lip Slip. I love these 2 products! A little pricey but definitely worth it. The lip scrub actually comes in a variety of flavors, almond creme, brown sugar, cinnamon sugar, cocoa, vanilla bean and peppermint. It is sugary and is the perfect amount of scrub for your lips! (They also had a red velvet flavor for holiday 2010..don't know if it's around anymore but I'd LOVE to get my hands on that one!!!!)

The Lip slip is a rich sheer balm with no color. It stays on your lips for hours and has a really sweet smell. It's the perfect balm for all day wear if you have just used the lip scrub. :) I LOVE this.. **do not use if you're allergic to beeswax. Reason I say this, I know someone with an allergy and this definitely contains beeswax.

WAY CUTE PACKAGING TOO!! Go to

www.sarahapp.com

LuMeSH lip glosses are another one of my favorite lip product discoveries of 2010!! These are the creamiest, LEAST sticky pigmented color lip glosses I have felt in a long time. I absolutely love the consistency of these! These glosses also contain vitamins and lip plumping agents! They do not tingle but your lips definitely will feel fuller and juicier after applying these glosses! :) I LOVE THEM!!!

My favorite ones are  called Min and Magaly. In this photo those are the first one on the left and the fourth one in from the left . :)

Go to the website to read more! http://lumesh.com/

Third and final lip discovery are the Josie Maran Magic Marker Argan Oil Infused Lip Stain Duo. These are actually brand new... and came out live to the public on JANUARY 3rd 2011,  just 4 days ago! They were introduced on QVC , and you can still find them on the QVC website. http://bit.ly/e2uJMl

These are awesome! They remind me of markers or crayola crayons from when I was young..they give your lips the perfect pop of color, have a long wearing stain and a smooth moisturizing end that keeps your lips smooth and hydrated! I LOVE these. I wore mine on New Years Eve!

Do any of you have a favorite lip product from 2010??? What was it ..share it below!

Best of Beauty:Nov~ Macadamia and AVST 1/Environ Giveaway!!!

Hey Guys! I'm back tonight to share with you guys 2 more things I have been loving through the month of November. These will be my last two for this month in my Best of Beauty Products.

Hang tight because I am giving away one of these products to one of you reading!!

I have been using the Macadamia Natural Oil products for the last couple of weeks and I absolutely love the smell and way my hair feels and looks after using these. I'm totally hooked.

First, I heard about the "Macadamia Deep Repair Mask". I heard that it makes hair super silky smooth and is great for long hair and repairing split ends, but then I realized that all of their products are really great for maintaining healthy hair. The deep repair mask feels amazing and leaves my hair easy to comb out after washing. The healing oil spray is fantastic for repairing split ends and keeping hair looking shiny and soft and the Nourishing leave in conditioner is the perfect thing to turn to when I still have trouble getting a comb through my hair.

A really great set for the holidays is the "Get Hooked Pack." I will write a full review more in detail about these products I've been loving but for now, here are some pictures and the website: http://www.macadamiahair.com/

 [slideshow]

And Finally, the last best of beauty for November is my AVST 1 facial moisturizer. AVST stands for Advanced Vitamin Skin Therapy. I have been using this line of moisturizers every day for the last 3 months. My skin has been looking clear, and feeling great! I keep this in my beauty box or makeup box for everyday use and apply it right before I apply my foundation. I love how quickly it absorbs into my skin and how it makes it feels soothed and relaxed.

This is my "daily skin vitamin" and I have been loving it. Read more about this product here:http://www.environ.co.za/ranges/avst-range

Now, the Environ AVST moisturizer line goes up in levels. You want to start at 1 and go up.. I have been using level one and loving it. The levels just depend how potent or powerful the ingredients are. You want to start with 1 especially if you have sensitive skin and want to work your way into using such powerful vitamins applied directly to your skin.

Environ is letting me give one away to one of you!!

Here's what you have to do to win:

1. You must be a subscriber to this blog. If you're not and want to be, there is a button at the top right of this page.

2. You must live in the U.S . Environ only ships in the U.S.

3. Answer below, Have you found a daily moisturizer you really love, and if so , what is it??

4. ***Bonus, if you want an extra entry.. go to http://www.environ.co.za/ranges/avst-range and tell me what the highest level AVST moisturizer's go up to..

My "Best of Beauty" for October

Hi Everyone! I can't believe November is already here. The holiday festivities are about to begin and this is by far my favorite time of year. I have a new name for my favorites of the month. I will call them my "best of beauty" for _____ month. So, each month you can expect me to put my favorites.

Best of beauty will include make-up, skin care, hair products, beauty tools...anything that can be beauty related. These are MY opinions.  It is always so hard to choose but I will base it off of what I've tested and tried and love.

So, let's put October behind us and take a look at the products I've been loving!!

ManeTamer by T3. This hair straightener works fast , heats up fast , and get's my hair super smooth in seconds. To see my full review on this go to my T3 Review: http://bit.ly/90QQRX Find the T3 products at their website: http://www.t3micro.com/

Mark Anthony Style Straight Iron Shine. This shine spray protects my hair from heat and leaves it shiny and straight. I have been spraying this on my dry hair before I straighten to give it long-lasting shine. I have not done a full review on this product and plan on it in the future. Find this product on the Marc Anthony hair care website: http://www.marcanthony.com/

Mark Anthony Style Straight Iron Shine

Environ AVST 1 Moisturizer. I have been using this moisturizer every day before I apply my makeup. It contains a low-level of vitamin A and powerful antioxidants to combat free radicals, repair and rejuvenate skin. This is different from the AVST moisturizer I have talked about before in my august favorites. Here is a link to that review. http://lovelo.wordpress.com/2010/09/06/my-favorite-products-from-august/ Here's where you can find this product: http://www.environ.co.za/products/avst-1

LuMesh Lipgloss. I've been addicted to these glosses since I started using them. They are creamy, moisturizing, plumping, vitamin infused, give good color and have a  mirror for application on the back . Check out these glosses at : http://lumesh.com/

SigMAX kabuki brushes. Sigma has introduced two new brushes, a round top, slanted top kabuki. They already had a flat top kabuki and just added 2 more to the mix. These brushes are Amazing. They are soft, and well made. Great for getting makeup to look flawless and airbrushed. Here is the link where you can find these brushes! http://www.sigmabeauty.com/?Click=202

100 % Pure Coffee Bean caffeine Eye Cream. If you guys don't know already...I am in love with this company. Spongeables, Moroccanoil & 100 % Pure...

Hey Guys! Happy Saturday. I'm working today but I wanted to get a quick post up for you all. There are three things that I have to rave about this morning because I've been using them for the past couple weeks.

The first are Spongeables.  I have this one called the pedi-scrub foot buffer. I use it EVERY day on my feet. It's perfect because you don't have to add soap...and it's good for 20 uses (I think it get's much more than that though...). It cleanses, moisturizes, massages, and exfoliates your feet. It's a great shape for getting in between toes and the two sides are very useful. One for buffing one for cleansing. I think this is such a useful product. They cost about $7.50 a piece and you can get them at Rite Aid, Ulta, CVS and Wal-mart (select stores).

They have other ones for hands, body etc. Check them out on their site. http://www.spongeables.com/web/product.htm

The other product that I have to rave about today is the Moroccanoil for hair. It is an oil treatment that you massage through your ends while your hair is wet. My hair has been SO DRY lately and when I use this on the ends of my hair I feel like it's repairing my split ends. Plus, it leaves my hair very silky and shiny. :) I love this product and have to put it on every time after I shower. I'm not sure on the price on this but you can read more about it on the website: http://www.moroccanoil.com/en/our-products.html

Last but not least, the other product I want to RAVE about is 100 % Pure's green apple nourishing body cream. It smells like a dream. Well, my dream. I LOVE the smell of green apple. Green apple candles, spray, fragrance, lotion, body wash...give me it all. This lotion smells so strong of green apple and feels soft and luxurious on my skin. I love this stuff. I also love that this company uses 100 % natural ingredients. Check it out at the website: http://www.100percentpure.com/

This is what the tube looks like...I couldn't find a picture of green apple...but you get the picture.

I recommend all of these products for Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers. They are Fantastic!!!

Love you guys,

LOVELO

Gotta mention some favorites... (September)

September FLEW by!  It's already October 5th and I have some beauty items to share with all of you! Here are some of the things I've been loving over the past month...

MAC Longwear Lipcreme in Till Tomorrow:

The color is amazing and looks great on! It's a great mauvy/purplish color but looks a little different on everyone's skin tone. I like it because it gives my lips just enough color without looking overdone. Plus-it stays on for a really long time.  You can find this at www.maccosmetics.com

The T3: Featherweight Luxe Hair Dryer & The ManeTamer Hair Straightener

These two products from T3 are so fabulous that when I got them  I gave my old hair dryer and straightener away! They are sleek, stylish, and work better than any hair dryer or straightener I have ever owned.  I will have a full review on them in the upcoming weeks , but they are favorites for September because they are new and I've been using them non-stop. You can find them at: http://www.t3micro.com/

Bath and Body Works Dark Kiss Eau De Toilette.

I am usually not crazy about Bath and Body Work Products but, I was sent the DARK KISS scent which  is new  for Fall. It is so sweet and sugary smelling and I LOVE it. It reminds me of Aquolina's pink sugar. You can find this at www.bathandbodyworks.com

GoldWell DualSenses Rich Repair 60 Sec. Treatment.

This rich repair conditioner is just what my hair has been needing. I got this a few months ago and it is already gone! I used it so much because the ends of my hair were so dry. This leaves your hair feeling really silky and soft in as little as 60 seconds. Here is the Goldwell website for more information : http://www.goldwell-northamerica.com/site/

CND's Desert Suade nail polish.

I love this color this fall. It's so pretty and natural on my nails. Here is the CND website where you can find this nail polish amongst many other colors: http://www.cnd.com/Products/Color/Default.aspx

That's all for this month. There are so many things I like but these are things I'm really using a lot and LOVING.

Disclaimer: Some of these products were sent to me on a review consideration basis and some I bought. I was not paid for this blog and these are all my honest opinions!

Thanks for reading you guys!

What I love about the Fall & Illumenature Candle Review

Hey Everyone! I think Fall IS my favorite time of year. When I try to put into words what it is I love about it all I come up with is a jumbled list: I love the weather, the cool crisp air, scarves, boots, sweaters, candles, the colored /falling leaves, pumpkins, APPLES, baking and a time for exciting new opportunities.

My husband and I went to pick apples about  a week ago...I love these sort of activities!

Another fantastic thing about Fall is the cool air and burning candles inside your home to make it warm and cozy. I got the opportunity to try some soy candles from Illumenature.  These candles are hand poured using 100% soy wax, as well as premium scented oils & color.

Here is the assortment I received:

The scents are: Campfire, Cherry Tangerine, and Garden Mist. The first thing I noticed about these candles are the cute simple packaging. They come in really nice glass jars with a steel suction top for storing. I love the colored ribbons around each one.

CAMPFIRE was my favorite. This is a great Fall Scent. I love the colors, brown and orange and the smell definitely reminds me of the fall. It has a burning wood, and crisp fall leaves smell all wrapped into one.

If I were to recommend one candle of them all to have in your home this fall it is the campfire scent. I will be burning this one every day that I can! Campfires just remind me of good times.. you can make such great memories sitting around a campfire! :) I definitely would love this one in the larger size because I know I will go through it fast. Also, I love the fact that these candles are made of soy/natural ingredients.

This size is the 8 oz size and on the website it costs... $11.99. They are also available in 20 oz sizes.

The other two scents the Cherry Tangerine and the Garden Mist Look like this close up!

They both smell absolutely delicious but just in a different way than the campfire. Cherry Tangerine is a very sweet fruity smell. This would be my second favorite scent to burn.

The Garden mist is a bathroomy scent in my opinion. It smells good , it's just floraly and fresh smelling like you'd expect a bathroom to hopefully smell!!!! :)

Both of these are the 8 oz size and are $11.99.

The Illumenature candles come in some GREAT scents for fall besides campfire: Cinnamon Sticks, Banana Bread, Buckeye & Pumpkin Pie! YUM! Pumpkin pie candles always smell SOOOO good and the Cinnamon sticks candle I've heard great things about on Elle Fowler's beauty blog.

Boasting about Biopelle

HI!! Happy Friday everyone!   I'm going to cut to the chase, Biopelle skin care has become my new best friend over the last month. I recently learned about this company just under a year ago when I was researching dermatological lines for someone. One of the products I have already told you guys about was my AFA cream cleanser that I mentioned in my AUGUST favorites blog. This is from the Biopelle company. An innovative aesthetics company committed to helping customers realize their full potential with products developed through the science of aesthetics. With breakthrough technology.

Since were talking about it, let me share with you more about this cleanser. It's called the AFA Cream Cleanser with Dead Sea Minerals. ok, I am NOT a scientist but those dead sea minerals must be some powerful ingredient. I have used plenty of cream cleansers in the past but never any that make my skin feel this good. My skin feels perfectly balanced after using this, it's not dry, not oily, it feels soft and normal! The best part about this cleanser is it does not smell like flowers or any other strong fragrance, and it takes eye make-up off effortlessly.

The other thing I love about it is its consistency!!  Some cream cleansers are hard to wash off at the sink, they leave a greasy residue that's really hard to wash off, but this one comes off easy...perfect for taking off my face (make-up face that is).

Here are some photos of this wonderful stuff! I would reccomend this cleanser for normal to dry skin 100 times over.

There is also a moisturizer by Amino Acid Skin Care that I also love.  It's the AFA Ultra-Rich Moisturizer with Dead Sea Minerals. This moisturizer is great to apply at night. It leaves your skin really soft and hydrated, yet there is no greasy feeling or smell. Here are some photos!

Moisturizer

The AFA Line from my experience has been one of the best for my skin I have ever used. I suggest this if you have combination skin that get's dry a lot and can be irritated easily. It's great for those make-up artists out there because it is calming and soothing. It's great at taking off make-up and soothing your skin afterwards.

I have only used these 2 products from the line, but I'd like to try more.

Another product I tried from Biopelle is from the Tensage Line.  I was sent to try the Tensage Intensive Ampoules. Ok, again , I am not a doctor, dermatologist, or scientist and this name made me scratch my head. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHAT ARE THESE THINGS? I opened the box to find these.

My first thought was these look INTIMIDATING.  Then, I looked these up and found that a box like this retails for $110! That was even more intimidating. But, after reading how to use them and what they do, I got more comfortable. The package says to use one ampoule daily for a week and then use one weekly for the next three weeks. They are meant to:

  • Work to help the body rebuild collagen.
  • Hyaluronic acid and elastin noticeably improve the skin's tone and texture.
  • Softens coarse lines and wrinkles and reduces fine lines with continued use.

I made it through using these one everyday for a week and then one per week for 3 weeks. I applied this liquid oil in the ampoule at night before I went to bed. When I would wake up my skin looked plump, soft and bright as opposed to  dry and dull. I don't really have wrinkles but it seemed to tighten up my skin.

The biggest thing I would say about these is that immediately when you apply these, they feel great! It feels like you are intensely repairing your skin just by one application. Warning: They're kind of addicting!!! I want to use another pack all over again.

If you want to check out Biopelle here is the website: http://www.biopelle.com/  They offer many other different products than I mentioned today.. but every one I tried was SUPERB!! The products are on the pricier side but they have advanced technology and are made for dermatologists & their clients. You can follow them on FACEBOOK also. http://www.facebook.com/#!/biopelle?ref=ts

Disclaimer: These products were sent to me for  review consideration. I was not paid by Biopelle and these are my honest opinions and thoughts. : )
